The story of Willie Lincoln's death and afterlife, as told by a group of ghosts in the cemetary where he is buried.
The narrative constantly shifts perspective in the style of an oral history and blends fiction, history, religion, fantasy, and American myth into one big murky soup. It is beautiful, bleak, and different from anything I have ever read! A great book! I liked it a lot!
